Post-operative Care
Making post-surgical recovery faster
With an organized post-surgical recovery plan, we provide you all the information on a one-on-one basis. Having a plan handy, ensures resolving all your queries related to post-op care before leaving our facility.
What to do and what not
In our post-op care report, we define the activity restrictions and timely exercises that are meant to fasten your recovery.
Mitigating pain to maximize recovery
We tend to follow a few natural pain recovery techniques like applying ice to relieve the pain. We recommend non-narcotics agents to optimize pain control such as Advil, Tylenol, etc. If we still have to recommend narcotics, we suggest taking benefit from stool softeners too.
Wound care
Even though you had surgery, we see to it that you should be able to shower before leaving our premises. We also guide you on caring for local wound and the frequency to visit us for required post-surgery checkups.

My gastroenterologist referred me to Dr Shakir as an option for my gallbladder removal, and I’m so glad he did. From the initial consultation to today’s post-op appointment with Dr Shakir and his staff, everything went very smoothly. He did the robotic laparoscopic removal and the incisions look amazing. Dr Shakir is knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. I hope I don’t need a general surgeon in the future, but if I do, I’d 100% book another surgery with him.
Whether performing hernia repair or gallbladder surgery, Dr. Shakir is known for his precision, patient-focused professionalism, and dedication to outcomes that help patients feel confident and at ease.
He takes the time to clearly explain each step of the process, ensuring patients understand their options and feel fully prepared before surgery.
From consultation through recovery, his approach emphasizes safety, transparency, and compassionate care tailored to each individual’s needs.
