What is colorectal cancer?
Rectal cancer is a preventable disease. It develops from benign growths in the rectum called polyps, which can be removed with a routine colonoscopy. However, these are not always detected and removed in time which leads to tumor growth. Over 90% of cases of colorectal cancer are diagnosed in patients over the age of 50.
