Are you looking for the best Surgical Oncology in Houston? You are at the right place.

Let’s first understand what is Surgical Oncology? It is a branch of surgery applied to oncology that focuses on the treatment of surgical tumors, especially cancerous. It is one of the oldest treatments available for cancer with a higher success rate, prior to the evolution of modern medicine. This branch of treatment is similar to medical oncology (pharmacotherapy for cancer), which evolved from hematology, and radiation oncology, which evolved from radiology.

In the North American regions (U.S. and Canada), the surgical oncologists go through the largest training period compared to surgeons of other specialties. We recommend Dr. Murtaza Shakir, who specializes in the field of surgical oncology in Houston. He also serves at Katy, Texas, and Richmond Texas. He is one of the trained surgeons in Houston who specializes in cancer surgery with the most positive outcomes. Due to his vivid experience as a surgeon, he is proficient in surgical oncology and the same reflects among his patients with improved survival rates.

Testimonials

How Clients Review Our Service..

Dr. Shakir saved the life of my wife. She suffered a ruptured colon late on a Saturday night during the peak of the COVID-19. He operated on her late that same night. As I was not allowed into the hospital, I only received phone calls before and after the operation. He talked to me the next day and made it very clear to me that her recovery would be a day at a time concern and that she was very sick. I very much felt that she was in very capable and professional care. A few months later he was able to perform a reversal operation to make her whole again. We are very pleased with the outcome of this set of events and we are forever grateful for his skill as a surgeon and doctor.
